A term Squeezebox occurs as colloquial expression referring to any musical instrument of the general class of hand-held bellows-driven free reed aerophones. the term is then applied because such instruments come usually in the shape of a rectangular prism or box, and a bellows is operated by squeezing. A select few assume squeezebox to exist as the derogatory term, although no concise English term lives to replenish it.
